Overview
Social workers are professional experts who provide help for a person, family or a community; supporting them to improve their quality of life. This course provides a programme of studies giving you the skills and competences necessary for a career in a variety of social care roles working with children, adults, and families. Supervision has been integrated into social work studies in both bachelor’s and master’s programmes for many years. It helps future practitioners to better understand the complexity of social work and understand what levels of professional support exist.

After graduating, you can continue studies at KU or elsewhere in Europe in these spheres: Social work, Health Care Management, Public administration, Social pedagogy, or Management.
Work opportunities include: specialists in municipal social support departments, centres for addiction diseases, homes for the elderly or children; social service centres, NGOs, health care institutions, and hospitals.
